— Chunlin Cui

I have nurtured a passion for art from a young age, embarking on a persistent journey to explore diverse media and techniques. Through this process, I've learned to see art not only as a form of expression but also as a language for storytelling, cultural connection, and reflection. My practice draws inspiration from history, nature, traditional Chinese culture, and everyday experiences, allowing me to create works that blend technical excellence with conceptual depth. In addition, I am deeply drawn to photography—an art form that captures ephemeral moments through the interplay of light and shadow. Over the years, I have built an extensive portfolio from my visits to temples, grottoes, and archaeological sites, documenting the textures, atmospheres, and silent stories embedded within these historical spaces. Inspired by Cabinets of Curiosity and museum collections worldwide, I have also curated my own collection of natural specimens, mementos, and artifacts acquired during my travels. These objects serve as firsthand sources of inspiration, informing and enriching my artistic practice. In recent years, I have aspired to combine emerging technologies, my passion for digital design and video games, and my knowledge of traditional Chinese culture to create my own games in the future. In pursuit of this goal, I have developed skills in 3D modeling, coding, and other foundational aspects of video game design.
